Opening in December of 2004 Level-4 greets this holiday season with a Quinquennial Anniversary. Congratulations to the Level-4 team & thank-you to our clients for helping us meet this fantastic milestone in these turbulant times.

Firm lends a hand at local MATHCOUNTS competition

Level-4’s Ryan DaMetz ran the show at the Kansas Society of Professional Engineer Eastern Chapter of MATHCOUNTS competition on Tuesday, Feb. 3 as this year’s event coordinator.
The Jewish Community Center in Overland Park, Kan. was packed with nearly 200 students from 26 area middle schools for the day long math competition which featured team and individual written tests along with a live Countdown Round where individuals rang buzzers to answer questions placed on a projector screen.
Top team and individual scores were rewarded with a trophy and a chance to compete in the state MATHCOUNTS competition in March. The top team was also invited to attend the KSPE Engineerâ€™s Luncheon on Feb. 18.

DaMetz thanked the event volunteers, made up of area engineers, who lent a hand with grading as well as making sure the entire event ran smoothly.

Basehor-Linwood Education Foundation Scholarship Golf Classic

Level-4 employees Brett Napier (far right) and Garrett Ochs (second from right) enjoyed an afternoon of golf with Rick Roedel (far left) and Mike Duncan (second from left) of Affinity Development Friday, September 26 for the Basehor-Linwood Education Foundation Scholarship Golf Classic at Falcon Lakes Golf Course in Basehor, Kan.
The team, who is working on the Basehor Town Center project together, finished 4 under par and Ochs sunk a 50-foot putt to win the putting contest.
All proceeds from the event go to the Basehor-Linwood Education Foundation, which provides scholarships to students in the Basehor-Linwood School District. This year’s golf tournament raised more than $9,000. Level-4 Engineering contributed $700 as a hole sponsor this year.

David Brucker presents KS State Rep. Jerry Henry with an ACEC Campaign Contribution

David Brucker, P.E. was elected by ACEC of Kansas to present a campaign contribution and meet with State Representative Jerry Henry. Jerry is a resident of Cummings, Kansas and works in Atchison. David and Jerry met up at the L4 office in Leavenworth and spoke about everything from the current economy status and the proposed bailout to the obvious need and importance of the State of Kansas to be attentive to the needs of its infrastructure. Rep. Henry is a very easy person to talk to and David enjoyed the time Rep. Henry took out of his busy schedule to sit down and chat.

2008 ACEC Emerging Leaders

Level-4 Engineering, LLC will be represented in 2008 at the ACEC of Kansas Emerging Leaders Program. One of our founding members, David W. Brucker, P.E. will take part in this year’s sessions.

From the ACEC of Kansas website, the program is described as follows:

ACEC/KS Emerging Leaders Program is for individuals committed to developing their leadership abilities. This program imparts specific skills and competencies identified by top ACEC/KS principals as critical for leadership success. These highly interactive sessions are taught by experts in the field of business administration and people management in professional services firms.
